A. Pengertian dari Kata Congratulation, Hope, dan Wish.

► Congratulation

Congratulation, dapat diartikan menjadi "selamat" di dalam bahasa Indonesia. Congratulation merupakan bentuk noun—namun dalam kehidupan sehari-hari terbiasa penggunaan bentuk plural yakni: Congratulations. Congratulations sendiri merupakan ekspresi apresiasi untuk seseorang atas pencapaian (achievement) yang telah didapatkan, mununjukkan ikut sertanya kebahagiaan atas prestasi yang dimiliki orang tersebut. Kata ini dapat di singkat menjadi "congrats".

► Hope

Hope, kata tersebut bermakna "harapan" atau "asa" dalam KBBI (Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia). Harapan dapat diartikan—suatu ekspetasi optimis tentang hasil positif atas peristiwa di sirkumstansi hidup seseorang. Hope memiliki dua bentuk, yaitu noun dan verb—keduanya banyak digunakan pada diskusi dan konversasi kehidupan sehari-hari. Dalam beberapa kasus, ekspresi ini menunjukkan keinginan agar seseorang mendapatkan hasil atau outcome yang terbaik.

► Wish

Wish, dapat dimaknai sebagai suatu do'a, hasrat, kehendak, dan permintaan. Wish mempunyai dua bentuk, sama dengan hope yaitu verb juga noun. Arti wish dan hope berbeda tipis, diterjemahkan dari Oxford Dictionary—wish di definisikan: hasrat dan keinginan untuk menggapai suatu hal yang sulit untuk diraih, bahkan bisa saja dikatakan 'mustahil'.


B. Rumus Pemakaian dalam Kalimat (Sentence)

1. Congratulation:

   - Subject + (be) + congratulation/ congratulations + on/for + [noun/gerund phrase].


   Examples:

   - "I congratulate you on your success."

   - "He deserves congratulations for his achievements."


2. Wish:

   - Subject + (wish/wishes) + for + [noun/gerund phrase].


   Examples:

   - "I wish you all the best in your future endeavors."

   - "She wishes for happiness and prosperity."


3. Hope:

   - Subject + (hope/hopes) + (that) + [subject + simple present verb].


   Examples:

   - "We hope that you have a wonderful time at the event."

   - "I hope she finds what she's looking for."


Catatan : Tolong ingat bahwa penggunaan atas Bahasa Inggris tidak lain dari fleksibel, maka tidak ada rumus atau formula spesifik yang wajib untuk diikuti.

Translation : "Aku hanya bisa berharap kamu sedang baik-baik saja di Sweden,"

Translation : "Aku berharap kamu bakalan menang, Star. Ragu kalau engga sih, haha,"

"Hope you're having an amazing day!"

Translation : "Harap kamu menjalani satu hari yang luar biasa!"

Translation : "Aku berharap untuk melihatmu kembali, Kim Dokja."

► Wish

Translation : "Aku mengucapkan selamat tinggal untukmu, Zelias."

Translation : "Aku rela ucap seribu doa untuk orang-orang Palestina. Serius."

Translation : "Aku ingin kita bisa bertemu satu sama lain pada kehidupan selanjutnya,"
